Book Name:Piyare Aaqa Ka Wisal e Zahiri
was the greatest scholar from amongst all the noble Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم.
Dear Islamic brothers! The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said that he was given a choice of living in the world or meeting Allah Almighty, and he chose to meet Allah Almighty. Sayyidunā Abū Bakr رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ responded, “May our fathers and mothers be sacrificed for you.” This was his way of saying, ‘O Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! There is no doubt you will enter paradise eventually; you are the leader of paradise, so stay here. I will sacrifice my parents for you.’ Despite this, the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم did not change his mind and preferred to meet his Lord.
This is also an expression of love for his Ummah. How? Sayyidunā ꜤUqbah b. ꜤĀmir رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ reports that the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم delivered a sermon, in which he said: اِنِّی فَرَطٌ لَّکُمْ
Indeed, I am a forerunner to you, and your place of promise is the pool of al-Kawthar.[1]
Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khan NaꜤīmī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه said:
فَرَط refers to the one who reaches a destination before everyone else in order to prepare the residence, food and necessities for the rest of the group. So, the Hadith means: ‘O my Companions! I am leaving before you in order to prepare your intercession, salvation and place of abode. Whoever amongst you dies upon faith will be protected by me like how a traveller is when he returns home. We learn that a believer reaches the Prophet
