*    It is wājib to respond to a greeting of salam immediately, and it must be audible for the one who greeted you.

*    Learn how to pronounce salam and its response correctly. Listen to how I say it, then repeat after me: اَلسَّلامُ عَلَیْکُمْ and وَعَلَیکُمُ السَّلام.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Supplication to recite when applying Kohl

According to the schedule of Dawat-e-Islami’s weekly Sunna-inspired gathering, the supplication to recite when applying kohl will be taught. It is:

اَللّٰہُمَّ مَتِّعْنِی بِالسَّمْعِ وَالْبَصَر

O Allah! Make me benefit by my sight and hearing.^[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Method of collective accountability (72 pious deeds)

The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, “Pondering [over the Hereafter] for a moment is better than 60 years of worship.”^[2]

Let’s make good intentions before filling in the Pious Deeds booklet:

1.   To please Allah, I will hold myself to account through the Pious Deeds booklet and encourage others to do the same.

2.   I will praise (i.e. thank) Allah Almighty for the pious deeds which I practised.

3.   I will regret not acting upon the pious deeds I missed out on and will
