Prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ وَالـسَّـلَام had.” Then he performed 400 units of nafl prayer out of gratitude.^[1]

اللہُ اکبر! The righteous thanked Allah Almighty when they had a headache and performed prayer extra prayers to show their gratitude. On the other hand, we abandon the congregational prayer because of a minor illness. Sometimes, people pray at home when they feel a little pain, and in some cases, the prayer is abandoned altogether! May Allah Almighty guide us. Illnesses are a blessing because through them sins are removed, reward is granted and ranks are raised. So, be patient when you fall ill, remember Allah Almighty, perform more good deeds and you will receive many blessings اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.

Tying a Bandage around the Head

Sayyidunā Abū SaꜤīd al-Khudrī رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said:

We were in the masjid and saw the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم enter with a bandage tied around his head because of his headache. We gathered by the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and he delivered a sermon.^[2]

Dear Islamic brothers! The noble Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم loved the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم dearly. They would never let any harm reach him, and they would sacrifice their lives for him in an instant. When they saw the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم with a bandage around his head because of the pain he was feeling, their hearts must have ached for him.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
