Knowledge of the unseen

O devotees of the Prophet! Allah Almighty granted the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم knowledge of the unseen. He knows what has occurred and what will occur until the Day of Judgement. He صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم also knew about the time of his passing, and he صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم alluded towards it many times. During the farewell Hajj sermon, the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said many times, “O people! Learn about Islam from me! Perhaps I will no longer be with you next year.”[2]

Someone asked Sayyidunā ꜤAbdullāh b. ꜤAbbās رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُمَا, “Did the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم know about his death?” Sayyidunā ꜤAbdullāh b. Allah showed him signs of it in this verse: [3]
