taking place concerning inheritance, people’s rights are totally ignored and rightful recipients of inheritance are being denied what is rightfully theirs.

The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said that people will, “…love wealth intensely…” Today, love of wealth is embedded in people. For the love of wealth, theft takes place, there is fraudulent measuring, and interest-based transactions are undertaken; in short, money is acquired from unlawful means.

The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said that people will, “…enter into the religion that which is not from it…” This is visible in our society.

Reflect! If Sayyidunā ꜤAlī رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was here today, what would he do? He mentioned five things he would do at such a time:

1. He رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ said, “I will leave them [those who love the world, forget the Hereafter and corrupt the religion]…” Therefore, we should save ourselves from the company of such people and adopt the company of those pious devotees of the Messenger of Allah who have a mindset of remembering the Hereafter and remain busy preparing for the grave and the Day of Judgement.

2. He رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ also said he will leave: “…what they have chosen…” So, we too should free ourselves by removing love of the world, desire for wealth, heedlessness concerning the Hereafter, etc, from our hearts. We should prepare for the Hereafter, adopt actions that lead to Paradise, and strive to increase fear of Allah Almighty in our hearts.

3. He رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ further said that he would: “…choose Allah Almighty and His Messenger…” Obedience to Allah Almighty and the Messenger of
