Book Name:Madine Ki Barkatain
An account of dreams coming true in Medina
Books are replete with accounts of this nature. For example, Imam Ṭabarānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه once came to Medina with two friends. They had not eaten for two days. They came to the sacred resting place of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and mentioned their situation. The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم then appeared in an individual’s dream and ordered him to bring food to Imam Ṭabarānī and his friends.
Shaykh Aḥmad bin Nafīs رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه once came to Medina extremely hungry. He relayed his state to the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and after just a short while, a person came, took the shaykh to his home, and gave him fine food. The person then said, “Eat to a full stomach, as the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has commanded me to host you.”
Shaykh Aḥmad bin Muḥammad Sufi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه once walked to Medina, facing great hardships on the way whilst crossing jungles and other dangerous terrain. He finally arrived at the Prophet’s resting place and presented his salaam. Thereafter, he went to sleep, and he saw the merciful Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in his dream, who showed immense kindness and gave him dirhams to spend.
Similarly, Sayyidunā Abū al-Khayr رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه once came to the Prophet’s shrine and said, اَنَا ضَیْفُکَ یَارَسُوْلَ اللہ - “O Messenger of Allah! I am your guest!” He then went near the pulpit and fell asleep. His physical eyes closed, but his spiritual eyes opened as he saw the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in his dream, who granted him bread. Abū al-Khayr ate half of this in his dream, and when he awoke, he found the other half in his hand.
When Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān Naʿīmī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه came to Medina, he saw a pen he liked greatly, but he did not have enough money. He mentioned this entire matter at the resting place of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. He
