What is Yawm al-Khilāṣ (Day of Cleansing)
As mentioned in the musnad of Imam Aḥmad, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم delivered a sermon in which he said three times, یَوْمُ الْخِلَاص وَ مَایَوْمُ الْخِلَاصِ, “The Day of Cleansing, and what is the Day of Cleansing?”
The Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم asked, “O Messenger of Allah! What is the Day of Cleansing?”
The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم then explained that Dajjal will come close to the Day of Judgement, climb atop Mount Uhud, and look towards Medina. He will ask his accomplices, “Do you see a white palace? That is the masjid of Aḥmad.” He will try to enter Medina, yet every path shall have angels appointed for protection, causing him to take up stay in land outside the city. Three earthquakes will then strike Medina, causing all hypocrites to panic and leave, ultimately making their way to Dajjal. This is the Day of Cleansing.
Dear Islamic brothers, this shows how Medina will not allow for any faithless individual to remain in it. It also shows how those who truly love Medina and have complete faith will never choose to leave the sacred city.
Near the Day of Judgement, earthquakes will occur in Medina. At that time, Muslims, hidden non-Muslims, and hypocrites will be living in the sacred city. When the earthquakes begin, hypocrites will flee, yet true Muslims will stay. سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه This is a sign of true faith and complete love
