*    The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would grow his hair either halfway down his blessed ear, all the way down to the earlobe, or even to his shoulders.[1]

*    Mufti Muḥammad Amjad ʿAlī Aʿẓamī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه said, “It is impermissible for men to grow their hair long as women do. Some pseudo-Sufis keep long hair which dangle upon their chests like a snake. Some braid ponytails or have their hair in a bun. All this is impermissible and contrary to Islam.”[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

The 6 alāt upon the Prophet and 2 duas recited in the sunnah-inspired weekly gatherings of Dawat-e-Islami

1. The alāt for the night preceding Friday

اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ  وَ سَلِّمْ  وَبَارِكْ  عَلٰی  سَیِّدِنَا   مُحَمَّدٍ  النَّبِیِّ  الْاُمِّیِّ 

الْحَبِیْبِ الْعَالِی  الْقَدْرِ الْعَظِیْمِ الْجَاہِ   وَ عَلٰی   اٰلِہٖ  وَ صَحْبِہٖ  وَ سَلِّمْ

Saints of Islam have quoted, that whoever recites this ṣalāt upon the Prophet at least once on the night between Thursday and Friday on a
