Madine Ki Barkatain

Book Name:Madine Ki Barkatain

Mawlana Ilyas al-Qadiri then remembered that a year earlier, a group of people with long hair had come to Masjid al-Haram and committed disrespectful and heinous actions. Many hajj pilgrims were martyred as a result. The shaykh thought perhaps this policeman had mistakenly thought of him as one of them.

The policeman then went to one of his colleagues who was drowsy and kicked him to wake him up. The colleague awoke and immediately took hold of his gun. Time for fajr salah drew near, and the shaykh needed to make wudu. The shaykh plunged into worry, not knowing what the policeman wanted to do next.

The policemen opened the door to a small nearby room and told him to go inside. The shaykh thought, “Allah forbid, how will I make wudu if they leave me here? How will I offer fajr?” In this state of sudden worry, he spontaneously called out in his Memon mother tongue, and exclaimed, کِڈا پھسائی ویو یارسولَ اللہ!- “O Messenger of Allah! What have I got caught up in?”

As soon as he said this, help came from the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. The policeman began to smile, closed the door to the room, and permitted the shaykh to leave.

(4) Medina is a furnace

It is mentioned in al-Bukhārī that the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم declared, اَلْمَدِیْنَۃُ کَالْکِیْرِ تَنْفِیْ خُبُثَہَا وَ یَنْصَحُ طَیِّبَہَا “Medina is like a furnace that expels impurities from iron and perfects that which is good.”

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه  Such is the excellence of Medina. Scholars say that it is the effect of Medina whereby if a non-Muslim or hypocrite comes, the city makes them sincere Muslims. If they are someone who will forever stay ill-fated and staunch in their disbelief or hypocrisy, Medina expels such impurity.[1]
