city? Indeed, it is Paradise for those who love the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

What is Paradise made from?

Dear Islamic brothers! The majzūb referred to Medina as Jannat al-Firdaws. The question may arise in your mind, “How can Medina be Paradise?”

This is not something difficult to understand. With just a little effort, we’ll be able to understand this matter. The hadith expert ʿAbd al-Razzāq رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, who was the teacher of Imam al-Bukhārī’s teachers, narrates a well-known hadith. In this, it is mentioned how the Companion Jābir رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ once came to the Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and said, “O Messenger of Allah! What was the first thing that Allah created?”

The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, ہُوَ نُوْرُ نَبِیِّکَ یَاجَابِرُ, “The light of your Prophet, O Jābir!”

After this, the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم explained:

After creating that light, Allah kept it at a station of proximity for twelve thousand years. He then divided it into four parts. From three of them, He created the ʿArsh, Kursī, and the angels carrying the ʿArsh. He then put the light’s fourth part at a station of love for another twelve thousand years.

After this, he divided it into another four parts. From one He created the Pen, from another He created the Preserved Tablet (al-Lawḥ al-Maḥfūẓ), and from another He created Paradise.[1]

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه O those who love the city of Medina! Let’s think for a moment. You have Paradise, a place of mercy, which is promised for the righteous; it has its excellences described in Quran and hadith. This
