Madine Ki Barkatain

Book Name:Madine Ki Barkatain

In another hadith, the Prophet

Oath by the One Who has power over my life, indeed Medina’s dust is cure for every illness.[1]

It is stated in a hadith in al-Bukhārī that Lady ʿĀishah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا said that whenever a person suffered from abscesses or boils, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would place his finger upon them and say, “In the name of Allah! By virtue of Allah’s command, the earth of our city and the saliva of some of us cure the unwell.”[2]

Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān Naʿīmī explained this hadith stating that first, the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would place his finger upon the affected area, place his saliva upon the said finger, and then add some earth. He would use this ointment upon the affected area whilst saying his saliva and the earth of Medina are cures by the power and permission of Allah.[3]

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه The Amir of Ahl al-Sunnah has been seen placing the soil of Medina upon the needle used for kohl and then place it in his eyes. Some of this was from the footprints of Medina’s pigeons. He took the sacred soil of Medina and placed it upon his eyes.
