humble. They understand that honour and disgrace are in the control of Allah alone. People’s opinions are irrelevant as they change quickly; they are supporters one day and opposers the next day.[1]

Allah Loves Those Who Remain Hidden

One day, SaꜤd b. Abī Waqqāṣ رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was tending to his animals when his son, ꜤUmar b. SaꜤd, approached him and said, "Father! You are here looking after camels and goats, while people are talking about the caliphate.”

SaꜤd b. Abī Waqqāṣ placed his hand on his son’s chest and said, "Be silent!" He then narrated a hadith he directly heard in which the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

اِنَّ اللہَ یُحِبُّ الْعَبْدَ التَّقِیَّ الْغَنِیَّ الْخَفِیَّ

Indeed, Allah loves a servant who is pious, self-sufficient, and hidden.[2]

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه This shows that remaining unknown is also a blessing. Allah loves those who are not famous.

Our state today is the complete opposite! People are running after cheap fame.

Everywhere, whether young or old, everyone wants to be recognized. Many obsessively take selfies and post them on social media just to gain attention. Some even create useless or sinful videos just to become famous. When buying clothes, they think: "It should be so stylish that people will be amazed when they see me!"

When buying perfume, they think: "It should be so strong that the entire
