The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: "Two hungry wolves attacking a flock of sheep do not cause as much destruction as love of wealth and fame does to a person's faith."[1]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
7) One Who Is Content with Sufficient Sustenance
The seventh and final quality described in the primary hadith of this discussion, is this: “...he whose sustenance is just enough, and who remains patient with it.”
This means that a true friend of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is content with what Allah grants them and remains pleased with His decree.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
The Virtue of Being Content with Little Sustenance
The 4th Caliph of Islam, ꜤAlī b. Abī Ṭālib رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates that the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:
مَنْ رَضِيَ مِنَ الله بِالْيَسِيرِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ رَضِيَ الله مِنْهُ بِالْقَلِيلِ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ
Whoever is content with the little sustenance Allah provides, Allah shall be pleased with their small number of deeds.[2]
Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān NaꜤīmī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه explains: "If you are grateful
