2) One Who Has Less Wealth and Dependents

Dear Islamic brothers! Among the seven qualities possessed by a friend of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, the second quality is:

خَفِيفُ الْحَاذِ – he who has less worldly possessions.

This is very important. The less attachment one has to worldly possessions, the better. If wealth is acquired through haram means, it leads to punishment. If obtained through halal means, it will still require accountability.

Therefore, one should not let the love of this world settle in the heart.

"The World Exists for You, But You Are Not for the World!"

It is mentioned in the previous divine scriptures that Allah said:

O son of Ādam! I have created everything for your benefit, but I have created you for Myself (i.e., for My worship). Do not get attached to what was made for you, while forgetting the purpose for which you were created![1]

A Unique Reason for Not Building a House

Once, Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was passing by a mountain and saw an elderly man deeply engaged in the worship of Allah.

He asked, "O man! Why have you not built a house for yourself? If you had one, it would protect you from the cold and heat."

The righteous man replied:

O Rūḥullāh! I had the honour of serving many prophets before you. They informed me that my lifespan will not exceed 700 years. So, knowing that my time is short, I could not allow myself
