Four Du’as of the camel

Sayyiduna Tameem Daari رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ narrates: We were once sitting with the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, when a camel came running and stopped by the blessed head of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم (as if he is saying something in his ear). The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘O camel, be at ease!’ The noble companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is this camel saying?’ He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied: ‘The owners of this camel had intended to slaughter it and eat its meat, so it ran away from them and is now pleading in the court of your Prophet.’
Whilst this conversation was going on, the owners of the camel arrived and humbly said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! This is our camel which ran away three days ago, and we have found it with you today.’
The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘This camel grew up in your presence, it served you for a long period of time, and now, when it has reached this age, you are slaughtering it; does an owner recompense a good labourer in this manner!’
Nevertheless, the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم purchased that camel from them for one hundred dirhams and said: ‘O camel! Go, you are free for the sake of Allah Almighty.’
After that, the camel placed its mouth by the blessed head of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and made four Du’as:
The first Du’a
‘O Honourable Prophet! May Allah Almighty grant you the best reward from Islam and the Quran.’
The second Du’a
‘May Allah Almighty remove fear from your Ummah on the Day of Judgement just as you have removed it from me.’
The third Du’a
‘May Allah Almighty protect the blood of your Ummah from the enemies just as you have protected my blood.’
The fourth Du’a
May Allah Almighty not allow war and discord to arise amongst your Ummah. (Attargheeb Wattarheeb, vol. 3, p. 144, Hadees: 24, summarised)
Dear children! Did you see how a camel made Du’as for our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and his Ummah in return of a favour? Likewise, whenever someone treats us kindly, we should also make Du’as for them.
