Book Name:Safar e Meraj Aur Pyari Namaz

things easy for us sinners, they were reduced to five; how faith inspiring. How this took place is a very famous report.

The final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

On the Night of MiꜤrāj, Allah Almighty made fifty daily prayers obligatory upon me. When I reached Mūsā, he asked, “What has your Lord made obligatory upon your nation?”

I replied, “He has made fifty Prayers obligatory across the day and night.”

“Go to your Lord and kindly have these prayers lessened,” he then said, “Your nation will not be able to read fifty Prayers. I have experienced this with Banī Isrāˈīl.” [The Banī Isrāʾīl only had two prayers obligatory upon them throughout the day, and they were unable to offer them. How will your nation offer 50?]

The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم continued, saying:

I returned to the court of my Lord and said, “O Lord! Grant ease to my nation.” Allah then reduced the number of prayers by five. I again met Mūsā and said, “Allah has reduced the prayers by five.” Prophet Mūsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم again said the same, and after repeated requests for them to be reduced, only five remained. Allah then declared, “O My beloved! These are the five prayers of day and night. Every one of them has the reward of ten, so these prayers shall remain fifty.[1]

This means they have the reward of fifty prayers, but only five of them are to be read throughout the day. This beautiful Hadith teaches us many things.
