Book Name:Safar e Meraj Aur Pyari Namaz

The third: Bayt Lam

Angel Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم requested for the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم to offer Prayer at a third place. “This is Bayt Laḥm,” the angel explained, “where ꜤĪsā was born.”[1]

Offering Prayer at blessed places

Dear Islamic brothers! The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم offered Prayer at around 12 places during the Mirāj, three of which we have just discussed: Madinah, Mount Sinai, and Bayt Lam.

What are these three places? Madinah is the blessed city towards which the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم made hijrah. He walked in its very streets, making them blessed in the process. Now, this is where his resting place is located today.

Mount Sinai; this is where Prophet Mūsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم received revelation, and where Allah revealed a special Divine manifestation to him.

Bayt Laḥm; this is where Prophet ꜤĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was born.

These three locations are blessed places where the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم offered prayer on the night of MiꜤrāj. This highlights how going to sacred places and worshipping Allah Almighty there is completely correct, valid, and allowed. This is a means of attaining huge blessings for us, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.

A blessed action of the noble Companions رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُم

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه Going to sacred places and worshipping Allah Almighty there, is a practice of the noble Companions رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُم. They would look for places
