Virtue of sending salat upon the Prophet

Sayyidunā Abū Hurayrah رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates that the Messenger of Allah        صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

Whosoever sends alāt upon me near my grave, Allah Almighty will appoint an angel upon it to convey [his salat] to me and it will suffice for his worldly affairs and the Hereafter, and I will be a witness for him (or he said) I will intercede for him.” [1]

Intentions for listening to the speech

The final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated, اَفْضَلُ الْعَمَلِ اَلنِّيَّۃُ الصَّادِقَۃُA truthful intention is the best action.”[2] O devotes of Allah’s Messenger! Make good intentions before every action, as this can be a means of entering Paradise. Before listening to this speech, make good intentions. For example:

1.   You will listen to the entire speech to gain knowledge of Islam.

2.   You will sit in a respectful manner.

3.   You will not be lazy or inattentive during the speech.

4.   You will listen to the speech to reform yourself.

5.   Whatever you hear and learn, you will try to convey it to others.
