An internal etiquette when reciting the noble Quran

If only we were given the ability to shed tears when reciting or hearing the noble Quran, and our hearts were enlightened and granted fear of Allah Almighty through its blessings.

In the first volume of Iḥyāʾ al-ꜤUlūm, the Proof of Islam, Imam Muhammad al-Ghazālī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه has mentioned 10 internal etiquette of reciting the noble Quran. The 7th from these etiquette is takhṣīṣ, meaning, a person should consider the noble Quran specific for himself. He should recite it for his guidance, and when reciting it, he should think to himself that whatever commands Allah Almighty has given in the noble Quran, they are for me, and the things which He has prohibited, it is me who is being forbidden from them. The mention of the Day of Judgement in the noble Quran, as well as the references to Hell, punishment, and the admonitory accounts, they are all for me, and I must take admonition from them.[1]

If we keep this in mind when reciting the noble Quran, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه it will have a greater impact on our hearts. It will cause us to shed tears and will lead to our lives being transformed.
