the hairs on their bodies would stand up.”[1]
The beloved Prophet’s صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم glad tidings of Paradise
Allah Almighty states in the well-known verse which can be found in the 28th juz of the noble Quran:
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا قُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَکُمۡ وَ اَہۡلِیۡکُمۡ نَارًا وَّ قُوۡدُہَا النَّاسُ وَ الۡحِجَارَۃُ
O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from the Fire whose fuel is humans and stones.[2]
Sayyidunā ꜤAbd al-ꜤAzīz b. Abū Rawwād رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه narrates that the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم once recited this verse in front of the noble Companions عَلَیْہِمُ الرِّضْوَان, which led to a young man falling unconscious due to being overcome with fear of Allah Almighty. The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم approached the young man, placed his blessed hand on the man’s heart – which was still beating – and instructed him:
“O young man! Say لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہ”
So, the man recited the testimony of faith. Then, the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم gave him glad tidings of Paradise and said, “O my Companions! Have you not heard these words of Allah Almighty:[3]
ذٰلِکَ لِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامِیۡ وَ خَافَ وَعِیۡدِ (۱۴)
This is for the one who fears standing in My Court and fears My warning.[4]
اللہ اللہ O devotees of the Prophet! Ponder! What can be said about the noble Companions عَلَیْہِمُ الرِّضْوَان! When they would recite the noble Quran or hear it
