ameen to their supplications, until dawn arrives.[1]
Dear Islamic brothers! The Night of Power is a night of immense blessings, and the night in which the Quran was revealed. Allah Almighty states:
اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنٰہُ فِیْ لَیْلَۃِ الْقَدْرِ ۚ(ۖ۱)
Indeed, We revealed it (the Quran) on the Night of Honour.[2]
It is mentioned in Tafsīr Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān:
* The revelation of the Quran started in Ramadan.[3]
* It was on the Night of Power that the entire Quran was sent down from the Preserved Tablet (al-Lawḥ al-Maḥfūẓ) to the lowest sky, and it remained in the House of Honour (Bayt al-ꜤIzzah).[4]
* From there, in accordance with divine wisdom, as much as Allah Almighty willed, it was brought down in stages by Sayyidunā Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, and this was completed over a period of 23 years.[5]
