The circumstances of the revelation of Surah al-Qadr

It is mentioned in Tafsīr-e-ꜤAzīzī:

Our beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was once reflecting on the previous nations and their lengthy lifespans in comparison to the short lifespans of his own ummah, causing his blessed heart to be overcome with compassion. He صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was aggrieved when he thought about how if a member of his ummah was to perform good deeds their entire lives, they would still not be able to do as much as the previous nations.

The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was saddened by this. The mercy of Allah Almighty surged forth, and He gifted him the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr) to console him.^[1]

اِنَّاۤ  اَنْزَلْنٰہُ  فِیْ  لَیْلَۃِ  الْقَدْرِ ۚ(ۖ۱) وَ مَاۤ  اَدْرٰىکَ مَا لَیْلَۃُ  الْقَدْرِ ؕ(۲) لَیْلَۃُ  الْقَدْرِ ۬ۙ خَیْرٌ  مِّنْ  اَلْفِ شَہْرٍ ؕ(ؔ۳)تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلٰٓئِکَۃُ وَ الرُّوْحُ  فِیْہَا بِاِذْنِ رَبِّہِمْ ۚ مِنْ  کُلِّ  اَمْرٍ ۙ(ۛ۴) سَلٰمٌ ۛ ھِیَ حَتّٰی مَطْلَعِ  الْفَجْرِ (۵)

Indeed, We revealed it (the Quran) on the Night of Honour. And what do you know of the Night of Honour? The Night of Honour is better than a thousand months. The angels and the sacred Spirit (Jibrīl) descend in it with the command of their Lord, for every matter. It is peace until the rise of dawn.^[2]

سُبْحٰنَ اللہ! Such is the greatness of our beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! He صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was concerned about his ummah, so Allah Almighty granted
