hearts, transforming the immoral society from the Age of Ignorance into a model society, the likes of which the world has never seen.

This is the exemplary society which will serve as an example for all societies that will come till the Day of Judgement. So, we come to know that fear of Allah Almighty is from the most important things required to create a model society.

Two important features of an exemplary society

It is also important to understand what an exemplary society refers to here. This can be discussed at great length, entire books can be written in this regard, but in short, it can be said that there are two fundamental things required for a model society: (1) The members of that society should not violate the rights of each other; nobody should oppress another person. (2) Every person in that society should wish well for the other and want good for them.

If these two qualities are found in a society, it will be a centre of peace, and crime rates in that society will be close to zero. And both these qualities can be acquired through having fear of Allah Almighty. Meaning, if our hearts contained fear of Allah Almighty, then through its blessings, rights of people would not be violated and the passion of wishing well for others would come about.

Let us understand this point through the following account:

Falling unconscious out of fear of Allah Almighty

Sayyidunā MisꜤar b. Kidām رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه narrates the following account:

We were once passing through a place with Imam Abū Ḥanīfa   رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه when the Imam accidentally stepped on a boy’s foot. The boy screamed and involuntarily said:
