Book Name:Nazool e Quran Ka Aik Maqsid
Allah sent down the best Book, similar and repeatedly recited; the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble due to it. Then their skins and their hearts soften for the remembrance of Allah.[1]
Lady Asmāʾ رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا narrates: “When the Quran was recited around the Companions, tears would flow from their eyes and their hairs would stand on end.” [2]
There is a famous verse in which Allah declares:
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا قُوْۤا اَنْفُسَکُمْ وَ اَہْلِیْکُمْ نَارًا وَّ قُوْدُہَا النَّاسُ وَ الْحِجَارَۃُ
O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from the Fire whose fuel is humans and stones[3]
ꜤAbd ꜤAzīz b. Abū Rawwād رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه narrates how one day, the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم recited this verse in front of his Companions. A young man became so overwhelmed by the fear of Allah that he became unconscious and collapsed. The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم approached him, placed his blessed hand upon the young man’s heart, and found it was still beating.
The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم then proclaimed:
یَا فَتٰی! قُلْ لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ
O young man! Say لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہ.
