remember, on the Day of Judgement, no deed will remain hidden. Every minor and major action will be placed before us.

فَمَنْ یَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّۃٍ خَیْرًا یَّرَہٗ ؕ(۷)  وَ مَنْ یَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّۃٍ  شَرًّا یَّرَہٗ (۸)

So, whosoever does a good deed equal to the weight of an atom, (he) shall see it. And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of an atom, (he) shall see it.^[1]

No wrongdoing will stay hidden

The noble Luqmān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was a man of Allah, blessed with wisdom and understanding. He gave the following advice to his son, which is also mentioned in the Holy Quran. He said:

یٰبُنَیَّ  اِنَّہَاۤ  اِنْ تَکُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّۃٍ  مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَکُنْ فِیْ صَخْرَۃٍ  اَوْ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ اَوْ فِی الْاَرْضِ یَاْتِ بِہَا اللہُ ؕ اِنَّ اللہَ  لَطِیْفٌ خَبِیْرٌ (۱۶)

“O my son! If evil is the equivalent of a mustard seed in a rock, or in the heavens, or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth; He knows of every detail, ˹He is˺ Most-Aware.^[2]

This shows that no matter how small a bad deed is or how secretly it is done; on the Day of Judgement, Allah will bring it forth. Surely, Allah knows even the smallest and finest of things.

The Day of Judgement is also known as Yawm al-JamꜤ - The Day of Gathering. The Quran was revealed to place fear of this Day in our hearts. This is the fear and awareness that our society—and every single person in it—desperately needs today.

We ask Allah to make us truly conscious of the Day of Judgement and bless us with the ability to prepare for it.
