guidance, wisdom, and salvation, as well as intercession on the Day of Judgement.

The terrifying Day of Judgement

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! If only we truly feared Allah as we should. Remember, whether we worry about the Day of Judgement or not, it will surely come no matter what.

This worldly life—how many more days do we have here? How long will we remain in this world?

Very soon, the Angel of Death عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم will come to take our soul. Our family members and loved ones will stand helplessly watching as our soul is extracted from our body. Before long, we will be ritually bathed and covered in a burial shroud. Our body will be lowered into a grave dark and narrow. Who knows how long we will stay there?

Eventually, the Day of Judgement will begin, and what a terrifying day it will be. Angel Isrāfīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم blows a trumpet to signal its arrival. With this fearsome sound, the dead will rise from their graves. People will be driven to the vast Plain of Resurrection. The Earth will be transformed into copper. The skies will be folded away. The sun will be just over a mile away, burning intensely!

Hell will be brought forth and a bridge will be placed over it which is thinner than a hair, sharper than a sword, and engulfed in darkness. Mankind will be drenched in their sweat or even drowning in it. Allah will display His wrath intensely on that Day, in a manner never seen before. A long time will pass in this distress before reckoning even begins.
