Dear Islamic brothers! Laylat al-Qadr is a night full of blessings. Additionally, it is also the night of the revelation of the Quran.

Allah declares:

اِنَّاۤ  اَنْزَلْنٰہُ  فِیْ  لَیْلَۃِ  الْقَدْرِ ۚ(ۖ۱)

Indeed, We revealed it (the Quran) on the Night of Honour.[1]

It is mentioned in Tafsīr Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān:

*    The revelation of the Quran began in the month of Ramadan.[2]

*    The complete Quran was sent from the Preserved Tablet (Lawḥ al-Maḥfuẓ) to the lowest heaven on Laylat al-Qadr and was kept in Bayt al-ꜤIzza.[3]

*    From there, it was gradually revealed as per divine wisdom, through Angel Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم to the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم over a period of 23 years.[4]

One purpose of the Quran’s revelation

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! Since Laylat al-Qadr is a night in which the Quran was revealed, let us reflect upon a verse from Sūrat al-Shūrā, in which one of the wisdoms behind Quranic revelation is explained.

Sūrat al-Shūrā is a concise yet profound chapter in the 25th part of the Quran. It consists of 5 rukūʿ sections and 53 verses. In verse 38, a beautiful characteristic of Muslims is highlighted—that they conduct
