Book Name:Nazool e Quran Ka Aik Maqsid
* Even if we see a frightening dream about the grave or the Day of Judgement, that image stays in our mind for many days. We may not tell others about it, but deep inside it affects our hearts, making us hesitate before sinning.
If just one dream about the Hereafter can leave such a lasting impact, imagine how our lives would change if the fear of Allah became deeply rooted in our hearts!
Mālik b. Dīnār رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was a great saint. Yet, before his repentance, he was addicted to intoxicants. His life changed because of a single dream about the Day of Judgement.
He had a daughter who had passed away. One night, he dreamt the Day of Judgement had begun. He came out of his grave, but suddenly, a huge serpent also emerged and began pursuing him. In terror, he ran as fast as he could, but the serpent slithered after him. On the way, he passed by a weak old man and pleaded for help. The old man replied: "I am too weak to save you from this monster."
He continued running until he reached a mountain covered with tents and canopies. Suddenly, a voice called out: "Save this hopeless man before he is caught by his enemy!" A group of children appeared and surrounded him. Among them was his late daughter. She struck the serpent, and it ran away. She then sat in his lap and said: "Father! Do you know what this was?"
She explained: "That serpent was your bad deeds. The old man was your good deeds, but you made him weak by sinning. Father, repent to Allah and save yourself!"
