Book Name:Nazool e Quran Ka Aik Maqsid
their affairs through mutual consultation. This is why it has the name al-Shūrā (The Consultation).
In the seventh verse of Sūrat al-Shūrā, Allah declares:
And thus, We have revealed an Arabic Quran to you, so you may warn the central city and everyone around it and warn of the Day of Gathering in which there is no doubt, ˹when˺ a group will be in Paradise and a group in the Blaze.[1]
Tafsīr Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān contains the following commentary of this:
Allah announced He revealed an Arabic Quran to His final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, so the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم may warn those living in Mecca and in the surrounding areas.
He was to warn them of the Day of Judgement, the Day when Allah will gather all previous and future generations, as well as all those in the heavens and earth. There is no doubt about this Day, and after this gathering, mankind will be separated into two groups—one group will enter Paradise, while the other will be cast into Hellfire.[2]
Dear Islamic brothers! Let us reflect upon this. In this verse, Allah mentions He revealed the Quran to His Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in the Arabic language.
