In a Hadith narrated by the Companion Sayyidunā Salmān al-Fārisī رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم explained, “In Rajab, there is a [particular] day and night. Whoever fasts that day and stands that night, it is as though he fasted for a hundred years. It is the 27th of Rajab.”[1]

 

Dear Islamic brothers! اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه  Within Dawat-e-Islami, Islamic brothers fast in the month of ShaꜤbān and arrange suḥūr gatherings. مَا شَـآءَ اللّٰه Many of them fast abundantly, even leading up to Ramadan. You too should be a part of Dawat-e-Islami’s Islamic environment. اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه Not only will you attain the blessings of the MiꜤrāj, but also the blessings of ShaꜤbān and Ramaḍān.

 

May Allah Almighty grant us ability to do this!

 

 آمِیْن بِجَاہِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖنَ  صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ 

Encouragement for itikāf

Dear Islamic brothers! اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه  Ramadan is on the way, which is a month of blessings and forgiveness. It is the month of Allah Almighty, and the month in which the noble Quran was revealed.

 

May Allah allow us to reach Ramadan, keep its fasts, and perform extensive acts of worship within it. One such act of worship performed in Ramadan is iꜤtikāf. So, voluntary iꜤtikāf can be done any time, but the type of iꜤtikāf which is an emphasised Sunnah can only be done in Ramadan. It is proven that the final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم spent the entire month of Ramadan in iꜤtikāf on one occasion, and he particularly loved the last ten days. He made special preparations for iꜤtikāf in these ten days. His love for this can be evidenced from the fact that when iꜤtikāf
