prophethood to perform a miracle, with the intention of ascertaining or investigating whether they are a prophet or not; such an inquirer becomes non-Muslim.[1]

How is to consider one of the Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم to be a prophet?

Dear Islamic brothers! اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه Imam Aḥmad Razā Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه wrote extensively when discussing Finality of Prophethood, penning six books specifically on this. These were written in explanation or defence of this belief. One of these books is جَزاءُ اللہِ عَدُوَّہُ بِاٰبَائِہٖ خَتْمَ النُّبُوَّہ  The Wrath of Allah upon His enemy who denies Finality of Prophethood.

The Imam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was once asked, “A person thinks Lady Fāṭimah, Sayyidunā ꜤAlī, and Imams Ḥasan and Ḥusayn رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم are prophets. What is the ruling regarding him?” In reply, the Imam proceeded to write a voluminous and detailed 113-page book. In this, he particularly centred his writing around this part of a Quranic verse:

وَ لٰکِنۡ رَّسُوۡلَ اللّٰہِ وَ خَاتَمَ  النَّبِیّٖنَ ؕ

he is the Messenger of Allah and the last of the Prophets.[2]

He also utilised Aḥādīth, narrations, and statements from previously revealed divine scriptures. With all this, he proved how anybody who denies our master Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم being the final prophet of Allah becomes a non-Muslim. If a person thinks there was another prophet during the lifetime of our master Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم or there can be another up to the Day of Judgement, then such a person
