Much of the evidence written by the Imam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه in this book was included by Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ in his booklet, entitled The Last of All Prophets. One can read this to learn a great deal more about this beautiful and important subject.

As 7th of September is Finality of Prophethood Day, one should acquire this booklet and read it to others on that day; at home, at work, in neighbourhoods, masjids, and other places. اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه One will earn the immense reward of learning Islamic knowledge and inviting others to do good.

The Preserved Tablet and Finality of Prophethood

As reported in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم declared:

“Allah recorded the destiny of creation fifty thousand years before creating the earth and skies. At that time, what was written upon the Preserved Tablet also included this: اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا خَاتَمُ النَّبِیٖن “Indeed, Muhammad is the last of all Prophets.”[1]

Sayyidunā Ādam عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم and Finality of Prophethood

The Companion Sayyidunā  Abū Hurayrah رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates of how the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم announced:

When Ādam عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام was created and shown his offspring by Allah Almighty, he saw some more highly ranked than others. At the end, he beheld a sublimely bright light and exclaimed, یَا رَبِّ! مَنْ ہٰذَا؟  “O Lord! Who is this?”

“O Ādam!”, it was stated in reply, “This is Aḥmad, your son. He
