as we are emissaries of Allah Almighty, His Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and ꜤUmar رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ.”

An old man with a resplendent face and white beard then emerged from the mountain, dressed in a white woollen cloth. “اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکُمْ وَرَحْمَۃُ اللہِ وَبَرَکَاتُہٗ”, he said, to which the group replied. “May Allah Almighty have mercy upon you”, Sayyidunā Naḍlah bin MuꜤāwiyah رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said, “Who are you?” The saint revealed, “I am Zurayb bin Tharmalā. I was stationed here by Sayyidunā ʿĪsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, and he prayed for me to remain alive until he returns from the skies.”^[1]

Scholars from previous nations and Finality of Prophethood

Dear Islamic brothers! Our master Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is the final of Allah’s Prophets. This fact was famously known to previous nations. KaꜤb al-Aḥbār رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ once said:

My father was a great scholar of the Torah. Regarding that which Allah Almighty revealed to Mūsā, nobody knew more about it in his time. He did not hide any of this from me. As he passed away, he called for me and said, “My son, you know I did not hide any of my knowledge from you. Yet, there are two pages I have not told you about yet.

“They mention a Prophet. The time of his arrival draws near. I feared to tell you this before, lest a liar makes false claim to prophethood and you listen to him. These two pages I have kept at a specific place, but you are not to look at them now. When that Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم arrives, then you are to follow him, if Allah Almighty wills for you to.”
